Talents Foundation ("Foundation") is a non-profit-making organisation operated by Talents Consulting Company Limited (“Company”), having obtained the approval for tax exemption status under Section 88 of the Inland Revenue Ordinance.
With a board of directors primarily composed of incumbent or retired principals and experienced lead trainers, Talents Foundation has accumulated decades of expertise in training, pedagogy, and welfare programs prior to its founding. Drawing from this extensive experience in teaching and tutoring, we believe that learning is most effective when conducted in an experiential manner. Our programs focus on enhancing the current curriculum structure related to career and life planning, incorporating as many experiential elements as possible, such as experiential board games, life stage simulations, and customized workshops designed to facilitate behaviorial change in participants.
Since its inception in May 2022, Talents Foundation has obtained various funding from governmental and corporate sources to deliver impactful educational programmes. Hitherto, through our experiential educational programmes, we have collaborated 140 schools, impacting ~12,000 students.
The five yellow crosses hidden in the logo represents the five core values of Catholic education, namely “Truth”, “Justice”, “Love”, “Life” and “Family”. As an organisation with Catholic background, Talents Foundation is dedicated to uphold and pass these universal values to our clients via our range of services, with customised religious content or without.
The semi-circular shape of the logo is part of a coin which echoed the Catholic teaching of the “Parable of Talents” (Matthews 25:14-30). In this biblical story, a master, before leaving for a long trip, entrusted his property to his servants and gave them certain number of “talents” (which referred to as coins since talents was a unit of currency in ancient Jewish time) according to their abilities. One of them had buried the money in the ground and was thus subsequently blamed by his master for not making good use of the gifts he was given. Only half of the coin was shown in the logo because it was being dug out from the ground, running counter to the bad example set by the servant. It indicates how young people’s potentials could be unleashed with the services delivered by Talents Foundation.
The coin also symbolises the flagship financial literacy education program offered by Talents Foundation. Such knowledge has been lacking in formal education (depicted as the books in the logo) where the concept of money and the use thereof are generally left untaught or brushed aside as familial obligation. Talents Foundation bridges this gap in conventional local curriculum by working in joint hands with schools to instill financial literacy to youngsters.
